Suppliers

On 29 May 2015, Decree-Law No 91/2015 was published under which Rede Ferroviária Nacional, REFER, E.P.E. (REFER, E.P.E.) merged with EP-Estradas de Portugal, S.A. (EP, S.A.) and which, becoming a public limited company, is now known as Infraestruturas de Portugal, S.A. (IP, S.A.), maintaining its registration and tax identification numbers. The merger produced effects as of 1 June 2015.

Infraestruturas de Portugal S.A. provides a series of platforms enabling interaction between the company and suppliers.

Information on contractual dematerialization

Given the increasing concern with the environment and the need to reduce our ecological footprint, together with the goal to achieve “less paper/greater efficiency”, and consequently a more sustainable economy, and lastly, the duty of a public company to set an example and facilitate and/or promote better practices among partners, Infraestruturas de Portugal will start a contract dematerialization process, enabling contracts to be signed digitally.

IP will start to send all contracts subject to pre-contractual procedures via the Anogov electronic procurement platform. All other contracts and addenda will be sent by email, thus reducing the environmental impact of the process (less travel, less printing and less paper). A further advantage will be the gains in time in collecting signatures, and a lower use of associated resources.

As we feel sure that you will join us in defending and preserving the environment, while also achieving considerable gains in efficiency, we would like to ask you to implement the measures required to reach this goal.

Up to March 2020 we implemented a gradual transition to contract dematerialization, and since 1 April 2020, contracts and their respective addenda are signed electronically (qualified digital signature) in accordance with and for the purposes of Article 104(3)(b) of the Public Procurement Code.
